Netizen accuses Aamir Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha team of littering in Ladakh, but fans defend the star

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, is not just known for his stellar performances in his films but he’s also an environmentalist and philanthropist. Time and again the actor talks about the importance of a clean environment and is also associated with various organisations promoting the cause.

However recently the actor was accused of littering a village in Ladakh during the shoot of his upcoming firm Laal Singh Chaddha. A netizen shared a video allegedly from Wakha village in Ladakh and claimed that the Laal Singh Chaddha team has left their trash uncollected.

The tweet reads, “This is the gift Bollywood star Amir Khan’s upcoming movie Lal Singh Chada has left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh. Amir Khan himself talks big about environmental cleanliness at Satyamev Jayate but this is what happens when it comes to himself.”

“This is the kind of havoc the crew is creating with the undisturbed environment. Wake up so called Bollywood stars!! Seems these people lost their civic senses!!

However, many people supported the team of Laal Singh Chaddha and Aamir Khan and shared that the shoot of the film is not done yet. One user wrote, “For your information, the shooting schedule there is still going on and they haven’t left the place yet. Get your facts right before you blabber.”

Another one wrote, “The film team is there till end August. Twitter troublemakers look for any weak opportunity. All film teams clean up before they go. In mid 2000 Aamir and Lagaan team returned to villagers in Gujarat their arable land perfectly, used through 6 month shoot.

“Definitely not justifying the litter, but when one talks about the cons one must also see the bright side. This shooting has provided employment to hundreds of locals from truck drivers, cooks, can drivers, hotel staffs, shop keepers and so on. #stoptroll #LalSinghChaddha,” another tweet reads.

People were certainly divided on the issue.

Coming back to the film, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni recently joined the cast of the film that also stars Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh. Chaitanya will be seen in the role of a South Indian army man named Bala. The shooting for the movie is currently taking place in Ladakh and it will be done by July end

The film is an official adaption of Tom Hanks’s Forrest Gump. It is being directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.
