Playing in his 30th Grand Slam final, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated Italy’s Matteo Berrettini 6-7 (4/7), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to clinch his record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title. What made Djokovic’s Wimbledon triumph even more special for him was the fact that he became the first player to cross $150 million in career prize money.

With his third-round win over Denis Kudla earlier in the tournament, Djokovic, who entered the tournament with whopping prize money of $149,810,010, had become the first tennis player, male or female, to win $150 million as career prize money.

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer is ranked second in the list with $130 million followed by Rafael Nadal at $124 million. Serena Williams is the highest-earning female tennis player with a career prize money of $94,518,971.

Here’s a look at players to have earned whopping sums as career prize money.

Player Total career earnings
Novak Djokovic ($151,876,636)
Roger Federer ($130,594,339)
Rafael Nadal ($124,937,195)
Serena Williams ($94,518,971)
Andy Murray ($62,009,732)
Pete Sampras ($43,280,489)
Venus Williams ($42,276,755)
Maria Sharapova ($38,777,962)
Simona Halep ($37,581,677)
Caroline Wozniacki ($35,233,415)

Not to forget, Djokovic had also become the first player to touch the $100 million mark after he completed his Career Slam at Roland Garros in 2016.

In terms of overall earnings, which includes career earnings as well as brand endorsements, Federer is ahead by miles as he is the first billionaire in his sport. Despite being at the fag end of his career, Federer remains to be a favourite amongst several brands – who want to sign him up as the face of their product.

On the professional front, Djokovic achieved a new milestone in his career where he equalled Federer and Nadal’s record of 20 Grand Slam titles.
