YOU Season 5: Release Date In India, OTT Platform, New Cast, Recap And All About The Show

Netflix has announced that the fifth season of the series ‘You’ will be released on April 24, 2025. This season will be the last one for the show.

Plot

In the last episode of the series, Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, returns to New York City. The storyline hints that Joe is seeking a ‘happily ever after,’ but his troubled past and personal battles could get in the way. In the official teaser, we see Joe back at Mooney’s bookstore, reflecting on the significant moments that have influenced his life.

Changes In The Cast

The ending of the show ‘You’ brings about essential changes in its production team. Michael Foley and Justin Lo have taken on the role of showrunners, overseeing the series, while Sera Gamble continues to be an executive producer. The cast includes Penn Badgley, Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews.

Release Of The Part

The show first premiered on the Lifetime network in 2018. It was cancelled after just one season but later brought back by Netflix. The series became popular on the streaming platform. Earlier, in 2023, the fourth season was released in two parts.

The teaser for the series was launched yesterday, announcing season 5’s release date. In the teaser, Joe reflects on his life and the one thing that has always stayed the same. He takes a trip down memory lane, visiting significant places and people from his past. Netflix has shared a sneak peek of Joe’s struggles in the final season.
