There are several projects on Expressways which are going to be implemented this year and some of them are in proposed state. One such project which is going to be rolled out for public is the Mumbai to Goa route.

This route will be having four lanes. The length of the route is 466-Km connecting Mumbai to Goa. The Mumbai to Goa Expressway is likely to be completed by this monsoon.

According to media reports, this route will be open to public by May-June, 2025. This will cut the travel time and make the journey smoother.

Currently it takes around 12 hours to reach Goa from Mumbai. However, once this route gets operational it will be taking just 6 hours to reach Goa from Mumbai.

This will be a good news for the people who are planning the Goa trip. This route will be from Panvel in Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg. It will cross Raigad and Ratnagiri.

The project will be made by both NHAI and the NH-PWD. The expressway faced delay due to work on the bypasses, flyovers ad underpasses in Indapur, Pali, Kolad, and Chiplun. The officials mentioned that the major routes will be completed before monsoon, as reported by Times of India.
