The fight for the first two spots in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 has become sharper with India and defending champions Australia eager to reserve their berths by the end of the cycle. New Zealand’s win, in the first Test against India in Bengaluru, this win has also sealed New Zealand’s chances for a place in the final at Lord’s in 2025.

Team India At The Top

Currently, India is at the top of the WTC 2023-25 points table but still has to play two home matches and five matches in Australia. The team needs to sharpen up their act to make it to the finals consecutively for the third time. Australia, standing at second with a points percentage of 62.50, is still confident because all their remaining WTC matches will be played at home, helping them defend the title.
