World Wildlife Day 2025: PM Modi Visits Gir National Park In Gujarat, Enjoys Lion Safari

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gir National Park in Gujarat . His visit coincides with World Wildlife Day. Every year, 3rd March is observed as World Wildlife Day to celebrate animals and plants. The day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the threats to wildlife, which includes poaching, habitat loss, and climate change.  World wildlife day allows everyone to recognize the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and the planet. Several pictures and a video of PM Modi’s visit to Gir National Park have been released. Dressed in camouflage costume, PM Modi is seen enjoying lion safari with camera in his hands.

PM Modi Calls For Commitment To Protect Biodiversity

Earlier in the day, PM Modi extended greetings on World Wildlife Day. He reiterated commitment to protect and preserve the incredible biodiversity of the planet. Through an X post, PM Modi highlighted India’s contributions towards preserving and protecting wildlife.

He wrote on X, “Today, on #WorldWildlifeDay, let’s reiterate our commitment to protect and preserve the incredible biodiversity of our planet. Every species plays a vital role—let’s safeguard their future for generations to come! We also take pride in India’s contributions towards preserving and protecting wildlife.”
