Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the peace agreement between the United States and Iran, describing it as a significant and commendable move to end ongoing conflict in West Asia. In a post on social media, he said the agreement is an important step toward restoring peace in a region that has seen prolonged instability.

PM Modi noted that the conflict had triggered a serious global economic impact, affecting several countries and leading to significant loss of life and property. He expressed hope that the agreement would help reduce global tensions and support economic recovery across affected regions.

Expectation of regional stability and trade revival

The Prime Minister said India hopes the implementation of the deal will bring long-term stability to the region. He also stressed that it could ensure safe maritime movement and restore smoother global trade routes, which have been impacted by the conflict.

He further added that India expects both countries to continue discussions on remaining issues to reach a stronger and lasting final agreement in the future.

107-day conflict ends with agreement

According to reports, the agreement comes after 107 days of intense conflict between the two sides. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed on state television that the deal with the United States has now been finalised.

The official signing of the agreement is expected to take place in Switzerland on Friday.

Draft MOU details surface, awaiting confirmation

Iranian state-linked media has claimed that a 14-point memorandum of understanding related to the agreement has been published. However, there has been no official confirmation of these details from either side so far. According to the semi-official Mehr news agency, the draft includes several key provisions related to mutual interests.

Global impact and attention on upcoming signing

The agreement is expected to bring major relief to global oil trade and maritime shipping routes. With tensions easing, international attention is now focused on the upcoming signing ceremony scheduled in Switzerland, which is being seen as a crucial moment for regional peace and stability.
