This time Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will head into the action again chasing that elusive IPL trophy for the 2025 edition which will be kicking off at the end of March this year. It has a reputation as a franchise with a very passionate fan base, because of players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and many more, yet it has continued to miss out on winning the title despite coming very close to winning in previous seasons.

Reasons Why RCB Hasn’t Won the IPL Trophy

Uncertain management a key trouble-maker, which causes vague strategies and brings instability in a team. Over dependance on star players like Virat Kohli is another worry as the team usually stumbles without his contributions. It has lost matches due to some poor decisions made at crucial moments such as during auction like letting their senior well playing players go. Their risk aversion and uncertainty leave them with an edge over others. Being choked in crucial matches makes them perform under pressure leading to them collapsing, particularly in knockout matches.

RCB’s Auction Missteps And Leadership Instability

Even with consistent attempts at getting on the podium for an IPL title, the batsmen have to blame some of their failures on auction strategies. Very often, critics claimed that in the building of balanced teams and letting their senior star players like Faf du Plessis and Maxwell go. There has also been a perpetual captaincy crisis as they have let Faf du Plessis go in the recent auction of this season. the reports had emerged that Virat Kohli might lead RCB in upcoming addition cash rich league.
