Who Was Kalabhavan Navas? 51-Year-Old Malayalam Actor Found Dead In Kochi Hotel

Malayalam film actor and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Navas passed away on Friday at the age of 51. According to reports, the actor was found dead in his hotel room in Chottanikkara. Preliminary reports suggest that he died after suffering a cardiac arrest. Navas was reportedly found unresponsive around 8:30 pm. He had been staying in the hotel as part of the shooting of the movie Prakambanam.

“We received information from the hotel that a person was found motionless in a room. He was immediately taken to the SD Tata Hospital, where he was declared dead. We are awaiting further details from the hospital,” TOI quoted an officer as saying.

The hotel staff, however, claimed that he was conscious when he was found lying under the hotel bed. The film crew then rushed him to the hospital.

Who Was Kalabhavan Navas?

Kalabhavan Navas was an Indian actor who kicked off his film career with Chaithanyam (1995). He later gained widespread recognition for his performances in Mattupetti Machan (1998), Thillana Thillana (2003), Junior Mandrake (1997), and Chandamama (1999). After stepping away for a while, he made a comeback, starring in Driving Licence (2019).
