They announced their split, a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya often used to mention each other while promoting their respective projects. The Eega actress used to share mushy posts for her estranged husband when they were together. After their separation, Sam has removed all such posts from her Instagram handle.
Samantha and Chay, who were last seen together on the silver screen in Majili, once opened up about their personal lives while promoting the film. From first job to favourite food, the duo had revealed several secrets about each other in an interview.
When asked about the best gift she ever received from Naga, the Jaanu actress had said, “A hand bag, in which he wrote my favourite quote and the dates that he hand-painted.” Naga had even teased his former wife and asked her not to call their wedding the ‘best gift’.
Samantha sparked rumours of her reunion with Naga Chaitanya after she removed the post, which she had shared to announce her separation. Her decision to delete the post from Instagram left several tongues wagging.
On the professional front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be next seen in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The Tamil romantic drama co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara is slated to hit the silver screens in April 2022.
Earlier this week, the U Turn star shared the first look poster of Shaakuntalam on social media. She is essaying the titular role in the mythological drama, which also features Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu and Gautami.
Last year, she made her digital debut with The Family Man 2, which starred Manoj Bajpayee in a lead role. The tinsel town diva received critical acclaim for her impressive performance in the spy thriller, which beamed on Amazon Prime Video.
