It’s a happy occasion for the Jonas- Chopra family as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child by surrogacy. The couple shared this overwhelming piece of information on social media and their fans are highly elated as they sent all the love and blessings towards the new little member of their family.

Sharing the news on social media, Nick and Priyanka wrote, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.(sic)”

There is no doubt that Priyanka is fond of children and on many occasions, she had spoken about being a mother. Even towards the end of her memoir, ‘Unfinished’, Priyanka had opened up about how she sees herself being a mother.

According to a report in US Weekly, she wrote, “The large extended family that Nick’s and my union has already created, and the more intimate one that we hope to create in the future. Where I can sit one day with our children, nieces, and nephews and tell them about their amazing grandfather and how he helped make me who I am today.”

Priyanka lost her dad to cancer and she was very close to her father Dr Ashok Chopra. On her right wrist, she wears a tattoo that reads, “Daddy’s little girl”. Priyanka’s father was her biggest cheerleader and he would always be present for her award nights and movie premiers. The actress has written deeply about him in her book and how his death affected her.

Priyanka and Nick married in 2018. The duo had both Hindu and Christain ceremonies and it was nothing less than a royal affair. The couple looked beautiful as they tied the knot of love and togetherness. Now they are all set to embark on the journey of parenthood. Many celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood poured in their best wishes for their firstborn.
