Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is one of the most sought-after names in the film industry. While the actress has always been in the news for different reasons, years ago, rumours about Preity facing financial struggles were rife. It was reported back then in 2014 that the actress had leased out her apartment in Khar, Mumbai. To refute the rumours and put an end to the reports being circulated widely, Preity conducted an interview at the very same apartment which the reports claimed she had leased out. In the same interview, the actress opened up about what was happening in her life, workwise and other aspects.

It was right before this that the actress’ first film production venture, Ishkq in Paris had flopped. To this, Preity had put up a brave front and during the interview, she asked the interviewer to name one production house that didn’t have a failure. The actress was of the view that she had done a lot of things right and had a lot of success, so it was also okay to have a failure. The actress admitted that she was new to the role of a producer and hence, made mistakes and some wrong choices. The actress, however, took responsibility for the things she did right and wrong.

The actress was also asked if acting had taken a backseat in her life. Preity, with sharp honesty, had said that while she is not done with acting, she is not going to do frivolous things on the screen. A report in Hindustan Times quoted the actress saying: “But I’m not going to wear small bits of cloth and dance around. I didn’t do it when I started my career; I won’t do it now. Unless I get a role which is powerful, it won’t appeal to me.”

Preity was certain that unless a role was powerful, it wouldn’t appeal to her. The actress had also dabbled in several business investments and said that all of it gave her the confidence to make brave choices. “If I hadn’t done that, I’d still have been trying to play 19-year-olds in films. I know there are other avenues for me,” she was quoted saying.

Cut to today, Preity remains one of the most-loved actresses on social media and off it. The actress often hits headlines for her posts on Instagram and Twitter.
