Tollywood’s superstar Mahesh Babu and former Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar are among one of the most-loved couples in the South film industry. The couple tied the knot in 2005. Since then, Namrata has stood by her husband Mahesh like a pillar of support and is often seen promoting his ventures. The two are proud parents to two beautiful kids, son Gautham Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara. The family of four has been shelling major goals and their photos and videos leave fans excited every time they make headlines.

The lovely couple is celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary today, February 10. On a special day, here’s looking back at their amazing bond…

In an old conversation with Vickey Lalwani, the former actress had opened up about how Mahesh Babu dealt with her link-up rumours in Bollywood.

She said, “Link-ups in Bollywood are very normal. Plus, Mahesh and I were very transparent with each other, before we tied the knot. We married in 2005, but we had taken the decision to take our relationship to the next level in 2003. That very day in 2003, we sat together and laid all our cards out.”

Namrata Shirodkar won Miss India in 1993 and made her Bollywood debut with Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai opposite Salman Khan in 1998.  The film co-starred Twinkle Khanna in a pivotal role. She also delivered some memorable performances in films like Vaastav, Kachche Dhaage, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Pukar.

Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, started off his career as a child artist and got his big break with Raja Kumarudu in 1999. The talented actor shot to fame with hit movies like Murari, Takkari Donga, Okkadu, Nijam, Athadu and Pokiri. He was last seen on the big screen in Sarileru Neekevvaru, which was released in 2020. Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, the action-comedy also has Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad, and others.

Currently, the actor is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Sarakaru Vaari Paata. Helmed by Parasuram Petla, the flick also stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.

The music of the film has been composed by S Thaman while R Madhi is handling the camera for the movie. Sarkaru Vaari Paata is jointly produced under the banners GMB Entertainments, Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Plus. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on April 1, 2022.
