It was Jitna Zaruri Man Ka Milan starring Rekha and Feroz Khan in Kashmakash that gave major goals back in 1973. The two shared on-screen bond and steaming hot chemistry became the talk of the town for quite some time especially after Feroz and Rekha worked together in the 1975 release Dharmatma.

Apart from the two films, the late actor starred with Rekha in films like Janbaaz, Kabeela amongst others. In an interview once, Feroz Khan was asked to say a few words about the veteran actress. Khan was quick to call Rekha impulsive and fun to work with. However, during the interview, he also said something about the actress that caught our attention the most.

It was at the time when Khan was chosen to be the man of the year. In the same year, the likes of Rekha, Sharmila Tagore, Yogita Bali, Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi were amongst those chosen as the women of the year. Feroz had something to say about each one of them. For Rekha, the late actor shared: “Impulsive and a lot of fun. But she’s capable of selling a man down the drain”.

Khan’s remark could be hinted at Rekha and her rumoured romantic history with men from the industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Mehra and Jeetendra which are quite talked about to date. However, despite being called “witch hunter”, “man-eater”, “home breaker” by many, Rekha has managed to maintain her persona of a brave heart.

Coming to Khan’s interview, in the same, the late actor shared a few words for other actresses but gave a special shoutout to Parveen Babi whom he had worked with in films like Khoon Aur Paani, Kaala Sona amongst others. Khan had said he knows Parveen “pretty well”.

“I’d like to give Parveen more lines than the others. I know Parveen very well. We’ve talked at length. She’s bohemian by attitude, frank to the point of embarrassment. She can be as cold as ice and yet increase a man’s blood pressure,” Khan had said.

The actor passed away back in 2009 after he succumbed to lung cancer. Khan was buried in Bangalore close to his mother’s grave at Hosur Road Shia Kabristan.
