“What Have You Done Besides Hooliganism?”: Amit Shah’s Attack On RJD In Bihar

Union Home Minister Amit Shah  attacked RJD during a public gathering in Bihar’s Sithamarhi. After laying the foundation stone of the Maa Sita Temple, the home minister took a jibe at the main opposition RJD and Congress for raising objections to the SIR exercise and on Operation Sindoor.

In his speech, Amit Shah questioned Tejashwi Yadav, asking how, despite his mother and father being in power for a long time, they had contributed to the development of Mithilanchal — apart from being involved in hooliganism, running gangs, and kidnapping.

Shah said, “I want to ask Tejashwi Yadav, his father and mother were in power for a long time. Apart from hooliganism, running gangs, kidnapping, demanding ransom, what have you done for the development of Mithilanchal?”

Clarifying the intentions behind SIR, Shah stated, “Shouldn’t the names of infiltrators be removed from the electoral rolls? The Constitution of India does not grant the right to vote to those who are not born in India.” Taking a sardonic jibe at Rahul Gandhi, the Home Minister said that since Rahul Gandhi has been carrying the Constitution with him, he should open it and read it.

He said, “Before the Bihar Assembly elections, should the names of infiltrators be removed from the voter list or not? The Constitution of India does not grant the right to vote to those who are not born in India. Rahul Gandhi is roaming around carrying the Constitution; he should open it and read it. They are opposing SIR because infiltrators are their vote bank.”

While delivering his speech, he also stated, “The NDA government will be formed in Bihar with a majority.”
