Shefali Jariwala death has become a subject of utter despair amongst the fans of the famous ‘Kaata Laga’ song. She passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. The lead actress of the song Shefali Jariwala tragically passed away after suffering from a heart attack recently. After her health deteriorated on Friday night, Shefali Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband Parag Tyagi, where doctors declared her dead. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained and the final confirmation will be possible only after the postmortem report is received.
The Mumbai Police has registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the case. According to an official, the postmortem has been conducted but no final opinion has been given on the cause at the moment.
“The autopsy has been done, but the opinion on the cause of death has been reserved. Based on preliminary information, it appears to be a natural death, and there was no foul play,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, police sources have said that Shefali was taking anti-ageing treatment, which included medicines like vitamin C and glutathione commonly used for skin brightening and detox.
According to sources, she took her regular medicines and anti-ageing injections on Friday afternoon. By evening, her blood pressure started dropping and she started showing symptoms like feeling cold. It is also reported that she was on a fast for puja that day, due to which it is suspected that the combination of fasting and medicines caused her health to deteriorate.
According to the information, her condition became critical between 10 and 11 pm, after which she was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Although initial reports have suggested cardiac arrest, the exact cause of death will be clear only after the final postmortem report from Cooper Hospital comes. At present, the investigation is underway.

Shefali became a household name after her Music Video Kaanta Laga became a sensational hit. Beyond being a part of the popular song Shefali was also renowned for her participation in reality shows like Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 alongside Parag Tyagi. It was in 2019 that Shefali went to Big Boss. She also starred in the show ‘Shaitani Rasmein’.
Talking about films, Shefali was seen in the 2004 film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ alongside Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. She also starred in the 2011 Kannada film ‘Hudugaru’. She was also seen in the web series ‘Baby Come Naa’.
