‘We Never Doubted Him’ – Sai Kishore Praises Teammate Rashid Khan For Great Performance Amid Previous Struggles

Sai Kishore GT’s slow left-arm bowler praised teammate Rashid Khan for showcasing an outstanding bowling performance in yesterdays match against KKR. Rashid in his four over bowling innings took 2 important wickets Sunil Narine and Andre Russell and gave away just 25 runs. This helped GT strengthen their hold on the top of the table with 12 points and a net run rate of +1.104.

What Sai Kishore Said About Rashid Khan’s Performance

“It’s definitely great to see him back. As a team, we never doubted him—never doubted his abilities. He’s the best T20 bowler in the world. I think he’s taken the most wickets in the format – I’m not exactly sure about the stats, but I believe he’s right up there. It’s just good to have him back,” Kishore said in the post-match press conference.

“In T20s, you don’t always go hunting for wickets. They often come as a result of how well you defend. It’s not like red-ball cricket where you work hard to create those chances—here, wickets are more of a by-product. So it’s great to see him picking up wickets again. He’s back in form, and that really lifts the confidence of the whole team,” Kishore added.

Rashid Khan’s Struggles Before Match Against KKR

During a conversation with Jatin Sapru, Suresh Raina, and Pragyan Ojha, Rashid Khan was asked about his current form. Sapru inquired if his performance was affected by the back surgery he underwent last year. Rashid explained that while the surgery initially impacted his performance, his current challenges are more related to issues with line and length.

“I enjoy playing against KKR a lot. I was struggling because of missing line and length. I decided to put 70-80 percent balls in the right areas against KKR and I managed to do it,” he said.
