Actor and producer Gehna Vashisht was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday for questioning in the money laundering case related to Raj Kundra’s pornography scandal. She arrived at the ED’s Ballard Estate office around 12 noon and left after a grueling six-hour interrogation. Businessman and accused in the case Raj Kundra was also summoned by the agency, however, he gave it a miss.

Gehna took some time to interact with the media before joining the probe and shared details about the raid that took place at her place. “My place was raided by the agency a few days ago and they were there for 24-hours. My bank accounts, mutual funds are all frozen,” she shared.

When asked about her association with Raj Kundra, Gehna said, “I haven’t worked with Raj Kundra, I worked for Umesh Kamath, who had an office in Kundra’s office. Whenever a film project is made, the earnings/profits are paid to the artists, technicians and staff, etc. I have paid all these people from the money I have received. Whatever (money) was left I kept that as my remuneration.”

Gehna left ED’s office around 6.30 pm and stopped for a brief period to interact with the journalists again. While addressing Kundra’s controversy and the overseas monetary transactions, she revealed, that she worked in 11 films for Hotshots, and earned Rs 33 lakh for the same. “We made erotic films, not porn. Nearly 20-25 directors worked on these films, but they were spared, only small people like me were put on the radar,” Gehna added.

The actor, who has also been part of projects such as Alt Balaji’s Gandii Baat, has been called in again for questioning on Tuesday.

Gehna Vashish’s Shocking Interview

After an FIR was lodged against her in the pornography case, Gehna gave an explosive interview to India Today TV She revealed that she was asked by Mumbai Police to name Raj Kundra and Ekta Kapoor in her statements. She also alleged that the Mumbai Police demanded Rs 15 lakh from her. “The cops said they wouldn’t arrest me if I paid them the money. I didn’t pay money to the cops because I thought I have done nothing wrong. Videos that I acted in were bold content and not porn. Hence, I maintained that I and Raj Kundra did nothing wrong,” Gehana said in 2021 interview. She also claimed that the police threatened her of “repercussions” if she refused to obey them.
