Actress Kim Sae-Ron death has been the centre of controversy because she died by suicide. Several claims and reasons around her death have been surfacing since long. Now, a close friend has come forward with startling allegations about the real reason behind her tragic death. The revelation came through YouTuber Lee Jin-Ho on 20th March who shared a second audio recording. In the audio, Sae-Ron’s friend is heard talking with a former manager of Gold Medalist, the same person who was featured in an earlier audio leak.
Kim Sae-Ron’s Troubled Marriage
Sae Ron’s friend discusses about the actress’s toxic marriage and the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of her husband. The conversation reportedly took place on 16th February 2025 — the same day Sae-Ron died.
Her friend was saying, “We went to screen golf and grabbed a meal together” from a phone call made at 9:39 PM. She continues, “Maybe it was because of the man she met in the USA.” The friend also revealed that Sae Ron had also shown her photos of injuries given by her husband.
Husband Allegedly Assaulted And Threatened Her
In a second phone call, made just 30 minutes later the friend shared more alarming details. She claimed that Sae-Ron’s husband had assaulted and threatened the actress repeatedly.
“She showed me a picture of a cut on her neck and said it was real” the friend said. “Her friends all believe she died because of him. He kept making personal attacks and threatening her.”
The call also captures the friend and the former manager discussing how Kim’s sudden death shocked everyone around her. The friend mentioned that her close circle was preparing to gather, mourn, and plan her funeral. “But her friends all believe she died because of him,” the friend concluded.
Adding to the controversy, YouTuber Lee Jin-Ho claimed that Kim Sae-Ron’s family used actor Kim Soo-Hyun’s name as a distraction. According to Jin-Ho, this was done to shift public attention away from Sae-Ron’s private struggles and abusive marriage in the months leading up to her death.
