War 2 is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of 2025 and has created hype among the fans. The movie will feature two biggest superstars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, who will reportedly go against each other in War 2. The makers have now officially announced the release date of War 2 and fans can’t keep calm.

War 2 Release Date:

War 2 will release in theatres worldwide on August 14, 2025.

The official X page of YRF shared a fan-made video to announce this news. The caption reads, “Must say… you have set it up brilliantly even before we have started our marketing of #War2 … there will be mayhem in cinemas on 14 August 2025, worldwide…”

Ayan Mukherji will direct War 2 and more details about the projects are awaited.

Earlier, while speaking to Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt for a fun chat, Jr NTR revealed having some creative conflicts with film’s director Ayan Mukerji. He shared, “When I was shooting for War 2, Ayan did not know what was going to come. Because he was trying to bring it out from me, that’s how this was going to come out. I told him, ‘Ayan, I am very instinctive; kuch na kuch aa jayega (something will come).’ Now, he is not used to doing this at all; he loves prep, and I am completely the opposite. And then Adi Sir was there in between, who said, ‘It’s ok, it’s ok, I get it’.”

He added, “Too much prep doesn’t give you the chance to explore yourself. South Indian films (sets) have always been chaotically organized. Like, if the prints have to come tomorrow, the team will still ask for one extra hour because they want to make some changes in the edit. The clock is ticking; the prints have to be delivered, but you are still working on the film.”

‘War 2’ will reportedly star Kiara Advani as the leading lady. Hrithik Roshan earlierhad a cameo appearance in ‘Tiger 3’, which is also part of YRF Spy Universe. Other films in this universe are- ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and the upcoming Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Alpha’.
