Filmmaker Sreenu Vaitla returned to movies after six long years with the Telugu action-comedy film Viswam, and won people’s hearts. Starring superstar Gopichand and Kavya Thapar in the lead roles, the film released on 11 October 2024 and did decent business at the box office. However, many missed watching it in theatres and were waiting for its OTT release. Here’s the good news: the movie is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. It was released today, three weeks after the theatrical release, as a Diwali gift to fans.

Viswam Plot and Trailer

The film revolves around a man named Viswam, who returns to India to defend his father’s honour. While uncovering antagonist Khureshi’s terrorist plot, Viswam meets a girl, Sameera, and falls in love with her. As he navigates love and danger, Viswam must stop Khureshi’s evil plans and keep Darshana – a witness in the case – safe. The trailer of the movie was released almost a month ago and received good reviews from people.

Cast and Crew

Apart from being the director of the film, Sreenu Vaitla has also co-written it with Gopimohan, Bhanu-Nandu, and Praveen Verma. The film has been produced by Venu Donepudi, T. G. Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla and Kondal Jinna under the banner of People Media Factory and Chitralayam Studios.

The soundtrack and background score have been composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj and Bheems Ceciroleo. The cinematography of the film has been handled by K. V. Guhan, whereas Amar Reddy Kudumula has taken charge of the editing.

In addition to strong performances by Gopichand and Kavya Thapar, the film also boasts a star-studded cast comprising Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta, Sunil Verma, Naresh, Pragathi, Shaam, and Prudhvi Raj, among others in pivotal roles.
