Vikrant Massey earlier scared his fans after announcing his retirement from acting on Instagram. The actor, in a recent interview, revealed that his post was misinterpreted by everyone and he is not retiring. The ’12th Fail’ star shared that he wants to take a long as he is missing his home and also dealing with health issues

While speaking , Vikrant shared, “I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up… People misread it.”

Meanwhile, in his Instagram post, the actor wrote, “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.”

Several actors expressed their shock over Vikrant’s decision. Patralekha wrote, “Noway!!! You are one of the finest actors that we have..” Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor commented, “What????? Sonu!! No you are one of the very few real actors we have left!!!!!!” 

Jiya Shankar wrote, “I hope whatever the reason, you take your time and come back.” Vikrant’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’ co-star Raashii Khanna wrote, “What? No!” His ’12th Fail’ co-star Medha Shankr commented, “???? What?”  

On the work front, Vikrant Massey will be seen in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ with Shanaya Kapoor.
