Former Bigg Boss Tamil contestant and actress Yashika Aannand met with an accident on July 25, 2021 at 1 am on the East Coast Road, Mahabalipuram. The actress was travelling with a bunch of her friends when her car met with an accident. Yashika’s car rammed into the center median and toppled into a roadside pit nearby, leaving her injured.
During the accident, one of Yashika’s friends Vallichetti Bhavani reportedly died on the spot. As per reports, there were three people in the car when it met with an accident.
As reported by India Today, the commuters on the East Coast Road were shocked to see an SUV overspeeding. The car then rammed into the centre median and slipped into a pit nearby. The onlookers rushed to rescue the three people who were stuck in the vehicle and they have suffered severe injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
However, people rushed to help the victims but had to wait for police authorities to rescue Yashika’s friend Vallichetty Bhavani, who was stuck inside the car. However, she breathed her last on the spot. When the police arrived, they sent Bhavani’s body to Chengalpet hospital to conduct an autopsy.
Reportedly, the police officials are suspecting drunk driving but are waiting for doctors’ reports before filing charges. The investigation is underway.
This is not the first time when Yashika has met with an accident or allegedly caused an accident. In October 2019, as per reports, Yashika’s car rammed into a delivery boy and she ran away from the accident spot. Reportedly, the actress was traveling to Nungabakkam, Chennai with her friends when the accident took place. The delivery guy had reportedly suffered severe injuries.
It was also reported that Yashika and her friends were under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place. A case was registered against Yashika’s driver.
Yashika Aannand’s career
Yashika made her Tamil movie debut with Vijay Deverakonda’s NOTA. She was seen in a supporting role in the film. Apart from this, she was also seen in Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru in a supporting role. The actress had also played one of the leads in Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu.
She was also seen participating in Kamal Haasan’s Bigg Boss Tamil 2. Yashika’s chemistry with her co-contestant Mahat Raghavendra was highly talked about.
On the work front, the actress has Raja Bheema, Kadamaiyai Sei, Pambattam, and Sulphur in the pipeline.
