With just days to go for the release of Kingdom, the trailer of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming spy thriller has set the internet ablaze. Directed by Jersey filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, the high-octane film has sparked major buzz among fans, and it’s got a glowing seal of approval from Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend, Rashmika Mandanna.
Rashmika took to her Instagram stories shortly after the trailer release to heap praise on Vijay’s performance. Sharing the trailer, she wrote, “Wohhhooo!! What a trailer this is! Madness! Ahh! Got to wait 4 more days after watching this cool of a trailer..not fair! @thedeverakonda I always keep telling you- you are something else! One day I wish I learn my craft so well that one day I can do the 50% of acting that you do! You are just …. Something else!”
She further applauded director Gowtam Tinnanuri and composer Anirudh Ravichander, “@gowtamnaidu and @anirudhofficial you two geniuses! ABSOLUTE geniuses! Rashmika also promoted the trailer on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “I can’t wait for the 31st now! We can see the fire @TheDeverakonda You three geniuses!! About Kingdom
The trailer gives a peek into an intense spy story. Vijay Deverakonda plays Surya, a secret agent sent on a dangerous mission. But things go wrong he ends up trapped in enemy land and even lands in prison. While trying to survive, he unexpectedly becomes close to the very people he was supposed to take down.
Kingdom will also be released in Hindi as Saamrajya. The Hindi version features a voiceover by Ranbir Kapoor, while Jr NTR and Suriya have dubbed for the Telugu and Tamil trailers, respectively.
Produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film also stars Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev, and Manish Chaudhary in key roles. It will hit cinemas on July 31, 2025.
