Varun Dhawan And Ahan Shetty Drop Gritty BTS Glimpses From Border 2 Sets

Varun Dhawan has amped up anticipation for Border 2 by dropping behind the scenes photos from the war drama’s set. The post comes just days after co-star Diljit Dosanjh was granted temporary relief from a work ban by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), allowing him to continue shooting for the film.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Friday, Varun shared two raw glimpses from the set. He posted a half-cropped shot, showing just the mud streaked uniform and arm, with Ahan Shetty tagged in it.

Diljit Dosanjh has been under fire ever since the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 dropped, due to his collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Amid backlash from netizens and film bodies, including calls to ban all his upcoming projects in India, rumors swirled that Diljit might be dropped from Border 2.

Meanwhile, Diljit put an end to all speculation with a bold statement made not through words, but through a reel.

In his recent Instagram post, Diljit posted a BTS video where he is seen stepping out of his vanity van, flaunting army badges with his name stitched on them. He simply wrote, ‘Border 2’ in the caption and included the iconic patriotic anthem Sandese Aate Hain from the original Border film confirming his continued involvement.

Directed by J.P. Dutta, Border 2 serves as a spiritual successor to the iconic 1997 war epic Border. It stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty alongside Diljit Dosanjh . The cast also includes Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
