How would you feel if you were told that the covid-19 vaccine that is being primarily given to save your life can also help you claim great deals on fast food chains and restaurants? Great right? Well, now it is a reality.

Vaccination incentives offered by companies that were being restricted to the staff so far have now been opened up to customers. From attractive deals on beer, burgers, beverages to discounts and cashback on various platforms have attracted eyeballs of consumers that have been inoculated.

India’s largest burger joint chain McDonald’s is offering 20% discount coupons saying ‘Just another reason to get vaccinated ASAP’.

McDonald’s has launched their ‘We Care’ initiative with an aim to encourage people to get vaccinated. According to an official statement, here people can avail themselves of a “limited time” offer on meals by uploading their vaccination certificate on McDonald’s mobile app under the ‘Got Vaccinated’ tab, along with basic details.

Post this they will receive a unique code via SMS that can be redeemed through Getmcdonalds.com to get their favourite meals. Other places like The Beer Cafe are working on similar intentions with the tagline of ‘You got the jab, we got your tab’. Various other retail outlets are offering encouragement packages for jabbed customers. The Beer Cafe’s offer gives consumers a 10% discount on the first jab and 20% on the second.

The founder of The Beer Cafe, Rahul Singh said, ‘This is to tackle vaccine hesitancy and to reward the ones being vaccinated. We are telling our consumers: when there is beer, there should be no fear’.

This innovative initiative seems to be aimed at helping drive both demands in the market and instil consumer confidence in the brands and companies at a time when fear of covid-19 is gripping the nation more and more, stalling recovery to normalcy in the process.

The companies are in the process of implementing encouragement packages for consumers who have been vaccinated. The initiatives include free parking, retail vouchers and discounted foods and beverages for takeaways by various outlets.

So now that your favourite places are stepping up to give you a slight push towards vaccination, would you not want to avail these amazing offers too? Then go ahead and opt for the right choice. Get jabbed!
