Uttar Pradesh Election 2022: Jats are a part of the 80 per cent I spoke about, says Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath doesn’t see Jat support dwindling for the BJP in the state and has said that the community cannot break away from the saffron party.

They are a part of the 80 per cent I spoke about, Yogi said and asserted that the party will cross 300 seats in the polls.

In an exclusive interview with News18, when asked if Jats and Muslims will align this time, the CM said that no one in western Uttar Pradesh can forget Kairana and Muzaffarnagar riots.

Citing alleged threats by BSP and SP candidates after ticket distribution, Yogi said it cannot be ignored by the people of the region.

Yogi also predicted that Jat youths who bore the brunt of the riots and were implicated in false cases will never forget the humiliation.

When asked if 20 per cent of people represent any particular community, Yogi said that they are the people who prefer riots, lawlessness and ‘goonda raj’ while 80 per cent are those who want better development and safety in the state to continue.

Reacting to the firing incident on AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi’s vehicle, the CM said that such incidents are unacceptable and no one can be allowed to disrupt law and order.

On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister had launched a staunch attack on the Samajwadi Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal alliance, saying that their idea of brotherhood is only about ‘bhai-bhatijawaad’ and dynasty politics, instead of communal harmony, national unity, and integrity.

His response came after Akhilesh Yadav said that the upcoming elections in the state pit the idea of brotherhood versus BJP.

Adityanath said that the opposition parties have exhibited that their intentions are not good and are involved in a conspiracy to ensure that mafia-like elements dominate the state once again.
