US President Donald Trump: ‘China is Operating the Panama Canal; We Didn’t Give It to Them, We Are Taking It Back’

Donald Trump took oath as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. He reiterated his resolve to  ‘Make America Great Again’. He declared that the golden age of America has begun and today marks the ‘Liberation Day’ for the country.

After taking oath, US President Donald Trump asserted, “Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders and with these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.”

“The United States, I mean, think of this, spent more money than ever spent on a project before and lost 38 lives in the building of the Panama Canal. We have been treated very badly from this foolish gift that should never have been made, and Panama’s promise to us has been broken.”

“The purpose of our deal and the spirit of our treaty have violated American ships being severely and not treated fairly in any way, shape or form, and that includes the United States Navy, and above all, China is operating the Panama Canal and we didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama and we’re taking it back, ” Trump said.

The US president said they will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. He said, “We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end and perhaps the war we never get into.”
