US President Donald Trump Blames Zelenskyy For Ukraine War, Vows To End ‘Biden’s War’ Amid Sumy Missile Strike Aftermath

US President Donald Trump kept holding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accountable for the ongoing war in Ukraine, as questions arose regarding which party is to blame for the failure to reach the ceasefire that Trump has vowed to secure. US President Donald Trump made the comments on Monday while responding to a reporter’s question regarding Ukraine’s appeal to buy more patriot missiles to defend against the ongoing war sparked by Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, reported by Times of India.

“He’s constantly trying to buy missiles,” Trump said about Zelenskyy during a meeting with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele in the Oval Office.

As quoted by Times of India, Trump mentioned, “Look, when you initiate a war, you do it knowing you can win. You don’t go to war with someone 20 times stronger and just hope others will send you missiles.”

He then expanded his response, claiming that the responsibility for the war’s casualties lies with three individuals: Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Joe Biden, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “Putin is number one, but Biden—who had no idea what he was doing—is number two, and then Zelenskyy,” Trump said. “All I can do is try to stop it.” His remarks followed Ukraine’s report that over two dozen people were killed and many others injured after Russian missile strikes hit the northeastern city of Sumy on Sunday morning, as reported by Times of India.

When asked about the attack on Sumy, Trump said that it was ‘terrible’ and mentioned, “I was told they made a mistake,” as reported by Times of India. He then quickly pivoted to blaming President Biden for the conflict. “Remember, this is Biden’s war,” Trump said. “I’m just trying to end it to save lives.” He also argued that Biden had contributed to the war by restricting domestic energy production. “All you had to do was bring oil prices down,” Trump said. “But Biden kept them high by making it nearly impossible to produce energy here.”
