Star tennis player Aryna Sabalenka is currently playing in the US Open. She defeated China’s Quan Zheng in straight sets in her quarterfinal match. Sabalenka won the match against Zheng at Arthur Ashe Stadium by 6-1, 6-2 and made it to the semifinals with pride. As soon as she won this match, she made a big announcement for the audience. She has said that if she is successful in winning her semifinal match, she will serve free drinks to all the spectators. By doing this, Sabalenka is definitely seeking the support of the audience, where she will face Emma Navarro of America.

Winning the semifinal match is not going to be easy for Sabalenka, who was the runner-up of the US Open last year. We are saying this because if she wins, she will have to spend 529,000 dollars i.e. about 4.4 crore rupees on drinks. Let us tell you that the difference in prize money between the semifinalist and the finalist is eight lakh dollars (6.7 crore rupees). The player who wins the US Open women’s singles title will get 3.51 million dollars (29 crore rupees). The runner-up will get 1.8 million dollars (15 crore rupees) and the semifinalists will get one million dollars (8.5 crore rupees) each.

What did Sabalenka say after his victory?

After her win against Chinese player Quan Zheng, Sabalenka said, “As I always say. It’s not about being the favorite. It’s about how hard you are willing to fight for it. It’s going to be about tough moments in matches when you don’t feel your best and you have to go through that. I feel very lucky that they all consider me the favorite. I will give my all to win this beautiful trophy.”

How has Sabalanka’s performance?

Sabalenka was in great form in the match against Zheng. She has lost only four serves in the entire tournament before the semi-final match. She had to face defeat against Coco Gauff in the final of the US Open last year. Sabalenka has won two Grand Slam trophies so far, where she has won two Australian Open tournaments. She would like to add another Grand Slam title to her kitty by winning the US Open this time.
