UP exit poll: Yogi Adityanath likely to return to Uttar Pradesh as poll of polls projects 252 seats for BJP

As the final phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections concluded on Monday, almost all the UP exit polls projected a clear majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh. The exit poll for Uttar Pradesh has projected a clear victory for the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh with 225 seats. Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) is likely to finish second with 151 seats even as Mayawati’s BSP may get 14 seats. Congress is likely to be reduced to just nine seats.
ETG Research:
ETG Research has projected 235 seats for the BJP, 155 for the SP, six for BSP, and four for Congress.
POLSTRAT:
The Polstrat exit poll for Uttar Pradesh projects 218 seats for Yogi Adityanath-led BJP in UP, followed by 153 for SP, 19 for BSP, six for Congress, and seven for others.
Jan ki Baat:
Jan ki Baat has projected 241 seats for the BJP and its allies in Uttar Pradesh. While the SP may have to settle second for 150 seats, BSP may bag six seats and Congress could be reduced to just two seats. Four seats may go to others.
Today’s Chanakya:
Today’s Chanakya projects a thumping majority for the BJP with 294 seats. The Samajwadi Party may get 105 seats, followed by BSP- two and Congress 1.
Poll of polls:
The poll of polls has projected a clear mandate of 252 seats for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, followed by the SP, which is likely to finish second with 134 seats. BSP may have to settle for 10 seats, even as Congress could be reduced to just four seats in UP.
Welcoming the exit poll projections, Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson said that the mandate in UP is the ‘story of India’. “The women who have been given safety beyond imagination, the people who’ve got ration during COVID period, those who got free vaccines, have silently thanked PM Modi & CM Yogi. This is the story of India,” said Patra.
Results for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022 will be declared on March 10.
