Trump Says Iran’s Atomic Programme Set Back By Decades, Ceasefire ‘Going Well’

US President Donald Trump said Iran will not be building bombs for a long time. Trump claimed that Iran’s nuclear facilities were completely obliterated in the US strikes, setting the country’s atomic programme back by “decades”.

‘They’re not going to be building bombs’

“They’re not going to be building bombs for a long time,” news agency AFP quoted Trump as saying. The US President said after the strike, that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran is going “very well”.

‘Nuclear facility was totally obliterated’

He said the Israeli agents visited Fordow nuclear facility and confirmed that it was totally obliterated .

When asked if the US will attack Iran if it again rebuilds Uranium enrichment facilities, Trump said, “Sure”.

US President Donald Trump has slammed CNN for its report suggesting that the US strikes did not destroy nuclear sites in Iran. Trump said CNN, along with The New York Times, teamed up to “demean one of the most successful military strikes in history” and termed it “fake news.”

He reiterated his claim that the US has completely destroyed nuclear sites in Iran. According to him, both the media outlets faced backlash from the people.

DIA: Attacks only caused a temporary disruption

The findings, first reported by CNN, citing seven individuals briefed on the assessments, noted that the early evaluation from the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) suggested that the attacks only caused a temporary disruption, possibly setting Tehran’s nuclear program back by a few months.

The findings based on a battle damage assessment by US Central Command contradict public claims made by US President Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, who asserted that the US “completely obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities, CNN reported.

Earlier, Trump arrived in the Netherlands for NATO Summit. He posted on Truth Social, “The day begins in the beautiful Netherlands. The King and Queen are beautiful and spectacular people. Our breakfast meeting was great! Now it’s off to the very important NATO Meetings. The USA will be very well represented!”
