Trump-Putin Talk Ukraine Strikes And Retaliation In 75-Minute Call: What It Means And Should Kyiv Be Worried?

US President Donald Trump  revealed that he discussed the recent Ukrainian attack on Russia with his counterpart, Vladimir Putin, over a tense phone conversation. During the call, which Trump said lasted for “approximately one hour and 15 minutes,” he discussed the strike on Russia’s docked airplanes along with other attacks.

Trump Says, “Call Lasted For One Hour And 15 Minutes”

The US President took to X to share the update, stating, “I just finished speaking, by telephone, with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. The call lasted approximately one hour and 15 minutes. We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes by Ukraine, and also various other attacks that have been taking place by both sides.” However, Trump indicated that it was a good conversation, but not the one that will lead to immediate Peace. US President Trump also emphasized that the Russian President ‘strongly’ said that “he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields.

Ukrainian Strikes And Russia’s Retaliation: What It Means And Should Kyiv Be Worried?

The 75-minute telephonic conversation between the two world leaders signals a direct dialogue on Russia’s stance on Ukrainian Strikes. However, Putin’s statement that “he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields” suggests the possibility of a strong retaliatory action. For Kyiv, this call does hint at upcoming intensified military responses. 

Trump Discusses Iran & The Decision Pertaining To Nuclear Weapons

Trump noted that they both discussed Iran and the decision about nuclear weapons, highlighting that it must be made quickly. “I stated to President Putin that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and, on this, I believe that we agreed,” Trump said.

Trump concluded his post, noting, “President Putin suggested that he will participate in the discussions with Iran and that he could, perhaps, help get this brought to a rapid conclusion. It is my opinion that Iran has been slow walking their decision on this very important matter, and we will need a definitive answer in a very short period!”
