The opening numbers for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ambitious fifth segment of the Housefull franchise are far from encouraging.

Kishan Damani, a leading distributor of Bihar says, “The initial response is not very encouraging… the advances and on-spot bookings both are low. A and B strategy of two endings would only work if the movie is extremely well made and people are ready to watch it again.. According to me, initial reports do not suggest the same.”

However, Akshaye Rathi disagrees, “The strategy of two versions with two different climaxes is absolutely a buzz generator and a conversation starter. With the kind of numbers coming in today, I think people are having a blast. Here to the victory of the Housefull franchise again.”

Trade analyst Amod Mehra has another story to tell: “In one word: superflop.”
