Top 4 IRCTC Credit Cards Packed With Discounts, Executive Lounge And Other Perks

Co-branded credit cards issued in partnership between IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and major banks are a convenient option for booking train tickets. IRCTC has teamed up with HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, and RBL Bank to offer these cards, which come with several benefits tailored for regular train travellers.

IRCTC’s loyalty scheme lets passengers earn ‘Travel Points’ whenever they book train tickets using co-branded credit cards on the official booking website. These points can be used for future ticket bookings. Customers can also collect points when spending on other partnered products and services.

Here are the features and benefits provided by these credit cards..

IRCTC HDFC Bank Credit Card

  • Gift voucher of ₹500 on quarterly spends of ₹30000
  • Joining/Renewal Fee: ₹500
  • Welcome Benefit ₹500 on card activation (within first 37 days of card issuance)
  • Earn five reward points for every ₹100 spent on booking IRCTC tickets through IRCTC website/Rail Connect’ mobile app
  • One reward point for every ₹100 spent on other categories
  • 1% transaction charge waiver on IRCTC train ticket bookings on IRCTC ticketing website and ‘Rail Connect’ app
  • Complimentary access to ‘IRCTC Executive Lounges’- up to eight times every year
  • One reward point is equal to ₹1 for transactions done on IRCTC ticketing website, ‘Rail Connect’ app

IRCTC BOB Card

  • Joining/Renewal Fee:  ₹500/ ₹300
  • Welcome Benefit: ₹500 bonus reward points
  • Up to 40 BOBCARD reward points for every ₹100 spent on IRCTC tickets
  • 1% transaction charge waiver on IRCTC train ticket bookings
  • Complimentary access to select railway lounges for up to four times every year (One per quarter)
  • Up to four reward points on every ₹100 spent on other categories

IRCTC RBL Card

  • Joining/Renewal Fee: ₹500
  • Welcome Benefit: 500 reward points
  • IRCTC Bookings: 5 reward points for every ₹200 spent on the IRCTC website and ‘Rail Connect’ app (for all classes)
  • Flight/Hotel/Cruise Bookings: 2 reward points for every ₹200 spent on www.air.irctc.co.in and www.irctctourism.com
  • Train Ticket Bookings: 1% transaction charge waiver on bookings made through IRCTC
  • Lounge Access: Complimentary access to select IRCTC lounges up to 8 times a year (2 per quarter)
  • Train Cancellation Protect: Complimentary protection coverage up to ₹5000 if a train is cancelled by Indian Railways within 24 hours of the scheduled departure
  • FASTag/NCMC/UTS: 3 reward points for every ₹200 spent on FASTag recharges, NCMC reloads, or UTS App transactions
  • Other Spends: 1 reward point for every ₹200 spent on other categories
  • Metro & Bus Travel: ‘Tap and Transit’ feature available for metro and bus rides

IRCTC SBI Card Premier

  • Joining/Renewal Fee: ₹1499
  • Welcome Benefit1500 bonus reward points
  • Earn 10 reward points for every ₹100 spent on IRCTC train bookings
  • Earn 5 reward points for every ₹100 spent on flight tickets and e-catering orders
  • 1% waiver on transaction charges for train and flight bookings
  • Free access to select railway lounges up to 8 times a year (2 visits per quarter)
  • Earn 3 reward points for every ₹125 spent on dining and utility bill payments set on auto-debit
  • Earn 1 reward point for every ₹125 spent on regular purchases
