Thunderbolts Box Office Collection Day 2: Marvel’s New Movie Gets Tough Competition From Bollywood Releases

Marvel Cinematic Universe has concluded its Phase Five with the release of Thunderbolts, which will focus on the team of antiheros as they work together for the US government. The movie has featured Yelena, Bucky and Red Guardian, who have appeared in several MCU movies in the pivotal roles. The movie has now been facing tough competition in India as many popular releases arrived in theatres.

Thunderbolts Box Office Collection Day 2:

According to the website Sacnilk, Thunderbolts earned Rs 2 crore on day 2 as per early estimates. The movie earned Rs 3.85 crore on its opening day in the 3D version and has collected Rs 5.85 crore in total.

While speaking to Empire, director Jake Schreier talked about the plot of ‘Thunderbolts’. He said, “I’ve seen a lot of synopses out there that just say, as though it’s a fact, that it’s a team assembled by Valentina to go do bad things. I understand why that would be the assumption, but that is not the story.”

Talking about Yelena’s role in Thunderbolts, he added, “She’s front and center. Yelena is in a certain place at the beginning of the film, and how she finds her way out of that place, and who she finds herself out of that place with, is at the heart of the story. It’s exciting to think of movies like Ronin or Reservoir Dogs, where you have a group of people that has no reason to trust each other. Could they even learn to work together? What sort of conflicts would arise?”

Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, Wendell Pierce, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are seen in the lead roles.
