Ahuja also factored in additional revenue streams from outside the dine-in experience, such as takeaways and other sales. He estimated that Amrik Sukhdev’s annual turnover could easily surpass Rs 100 crore, regardless of the amount the Dhaba spend in their public relations campaigns.

Ahuja estimated that the dhaba incurs the minimal rent expenses, likely due to the family’s ownership of the land. He said that Amrik Sukhdev has a workforce of around 500 employees, each earning an average monthly salary of Rs 25,000, which translates Dhaba’s labor costs be only about 5% of their total expenses.

Founded in 1956 by Sardar Prakash Singh, this iconic Dhaba initially served as a humble stop for truck drivers. Today, it is managed by his sons, Amrik Singh and Sukhdev Singh, who have successfully carried forward the legacy.
