As GT takes on MI in todays eliminator IPL clash fans will be expecting a lot from Rashid Khan as he keeps his place among the best bowlers in T20 cricket, as he is skilled at ending partnerships and keeping teams in cheque throughout the middle overs. Rashid needs to be at his best when MI take on GT, as Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are among the most experienced batsmen in the match. In the past, MI’s batters have had trouble handling Rashid’s googlies which seem to surprise them most. Rashid, aiming to shift the game in Gujarat’s favor, will focus on claiming these two crucial wickets, as MI relies heavily on a strong start and a powerful finish.

Why Rashid Khan Will Be A Threat For Rohit Sharma

Their pash clashes make Rashid Khan a real threat to Rohit Sharma. In just seven innings Rashid got Rohit out four times allowing only 35 runs off 32 balls. Thid works out to an average of 8.75 and just a strike rate of 109.37 which is much lower than Rohit usually achieves. Because of his googly and mixed deliveries, the Afghan spinner has often had Rohit playing outside his comfort zone. WhileMI look to Rohit Sharma to begin well, GT hope Rashid can take out the first batsman and get back to his usual form.

Why Rashid Khan Will Be A Threat For Hardik Pandya

Rashid Khan is expected to challenge Hardik Pandya, since he has been able to restrict the Indian batsman in the past. Over his seven innings, Rashid has removed Hardik twice and given away only 28 runs from 38 balls. This contributed to an average of 14.00 and a strike rate at 73.68 much lower than what Hardik usually shows. Renowned for his explosive hitting and exceptional finishing skills, Hardik has frequently faced challenges in building momentum against Rashid’s precise lines and crafty variations. The closing overs of this match could prove to be decisive for both teams.
