For the final time in his career, The Undertaker walked down to the WWE ring at Survivor Series. The WWE legend remained in his character on his Final Farewell and delivered a small message for the WWE Universe. One of the most iconic superstars of all time, The Undertaker seemed to be emotional during the segment and received a big cheer from the audience.

“For thirty long years, I have made that slow walk to this ring. I’ve laid people to rest, time and time again. And now, my time has come,” he said. The Undertaker also paid tribute to Paul Bearer, his iconic manager in the company.

It was exactly 30 years ago that The Undertaker had made his WWE debut at Survivor Series 1990. And to make it special, WWE had announced that it would be celebrating the occasion by organising ‘The Undertaker Final Farewell.’

Number of WWE legends were present at the Thunderdome to celebrate the occasion. Kane, The Undertaker’s on-screen brother, JBL, Big Show, Shane McMahon, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, The Godfather, The Godwinns, Savio Vega, Rikishi, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Triple H made the segment a star-studded affair.

Vince McMahon, the owner of WWE, introduced The Undertaker and welcomed him to the ring. All in all, it was an emotional night for the WWE Universe which culminated with The Undertaker being honoured.

The Undertaker’s career

A WWE veteran, The Undertaker has been with the company for 30 long years now. He is a seven-time World Champion, six-time Tag Team Champion and one-time Royal Rumble winner. The Deadman built a memorable Wrestlemania streak of 21-0 before it was broken by Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30.

He continued to take part in matches and competed at five more Wrestlemanias. He ended his Wrestlemania career at 25-2. His farewell match was against AJ Styles at Wrestlemania 36. Back in his American Badass gimmick, The Undertaker defeated Styles in a Boneyard match.

On the final episode of The Last Ride, in June 2020, The Undertaker announced his retirement from WWE. The WWE Universe can expect him to make a couple of appearances on special occasions in the coming years.
