The Sandman Season 2 Vol 1: Release Date In India, Plot, Cast And All About The Finale

The Sandman, which is a Netflix’s popular show, will sadly come to an end with its second season. The show revolves around Morpheus, who is a personification of dreams and one of the seven Endless. He was captured in a ritual in 1916 and has been in captivity for over 106 years. When he finally escapes, he goes on a mission to restore order to his realm, the Dreaming. The Sandman Season 2 will release in two volumes, with the first part coming soon on Netflix.

The Sandman Season 2 Volume 1 will release on Netflix on July 3, 2025.

Cast:

The show stars Tom Sturridge in the titular role with Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, David Thewlis, Kirby, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Vanesu Samunyai, Stephen Fry, John Cameron Mitchell, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Joely Richardson, Niamh Walsh, Sandra James Young and Razane Jammal seen in pivotal roles. Ruairi O’Connor, Freddie Fox, Clive Russell, Laurence O’Fuarain, Ann Skelly, Jack Gleeson, Indya Moore and Steve Coogan are the new additions to the cast.

Showrunner Allan Heinberg told Netflix in a statement, “The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream’s story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season.”

“We are extremely grateful to Netflix for bringing the team all back together and giving us the time and resources to make a faithful adaptation in a way that we hope will surprise and delight the comics’ loyal readers as well as fans of our show,” he added.

Plot:

The second season will focus on Dream as he continues to rebuild the Dreaming after his captivity. However, things change when his past misdeeds and unresolved conflicts resurface and force him to confront old foes.
