Alia Bhatt will soon return to the big screen with her new action-thriller movie ‘Jigra’ and is all set to grace ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’ to promote her movie. She will be accompanied by Karan Johar, her co-star Vedang Raina and the film’s director Vasan Bala. Netflix has officially dropped the teaser of the show’s first episode and Alia can be seen having a ball with the cast of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show 2’.

Sharing the trailer, Netflix India wrote, “When @karanjohar, @vasanbala, @aliaabhatt and @vedangraina spill the Bollywood tea, Funnyvaar ka fun padega sab pe bhaari. Watch the first episode of #TheGreatIndianKapilShow Season 2, this Funnyvaar, 8 pm, only on Netflix.”

The first episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’ will premiere on September 21, 2024.

Alia has also turned producer for the second time for her upcoming movie ‘Jigra’ and has teamed up with Karan Johar’s Dharma Fims. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie also stars Vedang Raina in the lead role and will hit theatres on October 11, 2024.

In an interview with The Hindu, Alia talked about her experience of working in ‘Jigra’. She said, “Jigra is an action film centred on a brother-sister relationship. Vasan is a gem of a human being, and one of the coolest nostalgic energies that I have met. He celebrates nostalgia in his movies but he’s got a new, fun take to it. He’s extremely rooted and his values come from the kindest place. He loves the collaborative aspect of filmmaking and I had a blast working with him. We are really thrilled for Jigra to come out in October this year.”

On the work front, Alia will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming ‘Love & War’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

The actress was last seen in the Hollywood movie ‘Hearts Of Stone’, which is streaming on Netflix.
