Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are set to return to the much-anticipated sequel of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. This 2006 comedy-drama has gained iconic status over the years and is widely praised for the stellar performance by the cast. The sequel has now created hype among its fans as the audience wants to know how the story will change after 20 years.

After the official announcement of the sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is finally in production. The makers wrote, “The Devil Wears Prada 2. Now in production.”

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel, the film follows a young woman, Andy, who has an aspiration to become a journalist and gets a high-profile job as the assistant to one of the city’s biggest magazine editors, Miranda Priestly. As she navigates the exciting but challenging world of fashion, she faces both glamorous experiences and demanding situations, all while working alongside her colleague, Emily.

Stanley Tucci will also return to the sequel along with Kenneth Branagh, who is roped in as Miranda Priestly’s husband. The movie will release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
