The Hansal Mehta’s latest directorial The Buckingham Murders could not save its reputation even on the fifth day, despite having superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. The film hardly managed to collect approximately 0.75 crores on Day 5, which was lesser that its Day 4 box office business. On day 6, it has collected 0.02 crores so far. The final data will be released by evening. The film was released on September 13.

The film opened at Rs 1.62 crores and saw a growth on the second day with total earning of Rs 1.90 crore and Rs 2.15 crore respectively. But nothing could save it from falling flat and the movie struggled to make even one crore in the following days. The collection on Day 4 was Rs 0.75, making the total to 6.80.

Tough competition From The Re-Releases

While there are several other factors behind the box-office failure of the film, the most prominent is the tough competition from old gems like Tumbbad, Veer-Zara and Laila Majnu, which are still occupying screens in all major theatres. Moreover, Stree 2 is going strong even after one month of its release. The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer does not seem to be going away anytime soon.
