The love for cricket in England is immense, but it seems like the former India captain has made a special place in the hearts of the people living in England. EnglandCricket posted on their official Instagram, mentioning World Cup winner and former India captain MS Dhoni outside a small cafe where people usually go to grab their breakfast.

“Thank you England for cricket. Thank you cricket for MS Dhoni.” Mentions outside of a cafe in England.

MS Dhoni Vs England

Against England (in Test cricket), MS Dhoni performed decently throughout his career. During his 21-match career from 2006 to 2014, he scored a total of 1157 runs with an average of 33.05. He did not make a century against England, but as a useful middle-order batter, he scored 12 half-centuries, which was a good sign that he has always made solid starts and has been involved in significant partnerships.

He scored as high as a gritty 99 that did not get him a chance of a century that he deserved. The strike rate of Dhoni is at 51.42 and as usual he kept himself in check- increment and decrement according to the requirement that may arise.

Gill and Deputy on a mission

Indian captain Shubman Gill is holding one end strongly and is nearing 150 runs. Meanwhile his deputy, Rishabh Pant has completed his 7th Test century which is 4th against England which displays his dominance over the English bowlers in the longest format of the game.

Ind Vs Eng Day 1

Indian captain Shubman Gill lashed out a hundred as the visitors scored 359/3 during the 1 st Test that was played against England at Leeds. At some point, Gill and his deputy Rishabh Pant were not out on 127 and 65 respectively. Ben Stokes had dismissed centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal earlier after they resumed the final session. India was at lunch at 92/2 in response to the score of Leeds, with Gill staying in the crease as the other batsmen, Yashasvi Jaiswal, approached the half century. In the first session, Jaiswal and KL Rahul put 91 runs on the scoreboard in Headingley during the opening stand. England, however, ended the session on a high after two wickets within five balls. B Sai Sudharsan, an Indian debutant, was sent away on a duck in his 4th ball.
