A recent incident which took place at Madurai Airport involving Thalapathy Vijay and his fan has gone viral sparking mixed emotions online. The viral video shows a moment where a fan rushed towards Vijay for selfie but this act prompts actor’s bodyguard to pull out a gun and point at him.

Fan Tries To Approach Vijay, Guard Reacts

This incident took place when Vijay arrived at Madurai Airport after his shoot. As soon as he stepped out of his vehicle, a fan suddenly ran towards him. Mistaking his gesture as a threat, one of Vijay’s security guard pulls out his gun and aimed it at the man.

However, he moved it instantly and was then moved aside by the security team.

Fans were quick to react as the video went viral. Many of the netizens were condemning the act of security guard while other were defending and claiming that it was a safety move from his side.

Fan Reacted To The Situation

The fan on whom the gun was pointed, later spoke to the media and expressed his raw views on the whole situation. He said, “A gun was aimed at me for the protection of Thalapathy Vijay, but even if I was shot at that time, I would happily take it for my Thalapathy.”

Actor’s Visit Triggers Crowd Frenzy

Vijay’s arrival in Madurai caused a fan frenzy, with large number of people turning up to welcome him. Fans showered him with flowers and raised chants in his honour. The actor had just returned from Kodaikanal after filming a portion of Jana Nayagan, which is believed to be his last film before his expected full-time political entry.
