Delhi High Court has granted custody parole to Engineer Rashid, the MP from Baramulla. This is done by the court to attend the ongoing Parliament session for two days. This will be done so that he can attend the session on February 11 and 13.

The court imposes several conditions while allowing him to attend the parliament session. Engineer Rashid is lodged in Tihar Jail – Delhi, in connection with a terror funding case.

Speaking on this issue, the state secretary, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), Sheikh Ashiq mentioned that, “I think the entire Kashmir is happy, being a colleague, I am happier. We hope that he will be well as he was on a hunger strike and now he will be joining the parliament session.”
