Tensions Rise For Iran As US Airstrikes On Houthis Claim Over 50 Lives; Here’s What Trump Wants To Send Message

After the United States targeted Houthi terrorists and continued their operations against them, the attack sent the Iranian leadership into a tizzy after the airstrikes claimed over 50 lives in Saana, and apprehension soared that they might be the next target of the United States. According to Reuters, the operations against the Iran-backed terrorists may continue for over a week.

According to the New York Times, the US Central Command targeted Houthis’ drones, radars, missiles, and other artillery systems. The move is seen as a police shift from Trump’s predecessor, Joe Biden’s regime. The Trump administration has indirectly tried to give a message to the Iranian leadership by targeting Houthis that the time has come to revoke their support. It is believed that the attempt is also a direct message to Iran to continue its nuclear programme.

A few days back, Iran made it clear that it would not come under any pressure from the United States and refused to talk to the United States. The strike is also a step to weaken Iran’s proxies like Houthis and other militias.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces are continuing their intensified operations against Houthi terrorists. The video shared by CENTCOM on X shows military aircraft taking off.

While sharing the video on X, US Central Command posted, “CENTCOM forces continue operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists.”

The United States’ airstrikes on Yemen’s Houthi rebels have killed at least 53 people, including five women and two children, and injured around 100 others, The Hill reported, quoting the Houthi-run Health Ministry.

“The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends,” Trump stated in a post on Truth Social.

“To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
