Ankita Lokhande is coming back after 12 years to recreate the magic of Pavitra Rishta. The second season of the show will start streaming on an OTT platform on September 15. The original version of Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta featured Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita as Manav and Archana. Due to the unfortunate demise of Sushant (on June 14, 2020), the makers of Pavitra Rishta 2 roped in TV actor Shaheer Sheikh for the second part.

Days before the release of Pavitra Rishta 2, Times Now Digital did interact with the leading lady Ankita Lokhande. During the course of the interview, Lokhande was asked if she found it challenging to romance Shaheer since she was working with him for the first time.

In response to this, Ankita said, “Not really. As an actor, I haven’t worked with Sushant only. I have worked with others also. And as an actor, if somebody tells me to romance a tree also, then I will do it very nicely. We are actors, it is supposed to be our job. Of course, to see somebody as Manav, pehle thoda lagta tha. But when I used to read the script, jaise Archana-Manav likha hai,  toh Manav ke usme mujhe Sushant ki awaaz sunai deti thi. Because I exactly knew that Sushant kaise bolega, kya karega (how he would react and do something).”

Apart from this, Ankita shared her thoughts on the comparisons that will be drawn between the old and new versions of her show Pavitra Rishta. On being asked if she is worried about the same

Having said that, Ankita further mentioned that Sushant cannot be replaced by anyone. In her opinion, each and every person is different. The actress is of the belief that “You create magic with different people. I had a different bond with Sushant, I have a different bond with Shaheer, I have a different bond with Hiten (Tejwani).”
