Fans speculate that Tuesday, July 15, could be the chosen date because it marks nine years since Season 1 premiered on Netflix.
Netflix recently updated its Stranger Things YouTube account, adding a new playlist named “Stranger Things 5.” Additionally, Ross Duffer posted on Instagram on July 2 with the caption, “On the mix stage..” The image read “THE FINAL SEASON,” suggesting final post production work may be ongoing or complete.
Even a prominent fan page, @stranngerthingsnetflix on Instagram has claimed July 15 as the likely date for the trailer reveal.
Stranger Things Season 5 will arrive on Netflix in 2025 but in three volumes. The first part will include four episodes and will release on November 26. The second part will have three episodes and will release on Netflix on December 25, i.e. on Christmas. Meanwhile, the finale aka the eight episode or volume three will release on December 31, i.e. on New Year’s eve.
The finale will star Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, Jamie Campbell Bower and Amybeth McNulty. Linda Hamilton has joined the cast as well.
