Netflix hit series ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ is gearing up for the release of its fifth and final season. Fans around the world are feeling emotional as a big chapter of pop culture will come to an end. ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ is expected to be a cinematic experience for fans and has been made on an insane budget, which is reportedly higher than that of many movies.

Stranger Things Season 5 Budget:

According to reports, the final season is made on the budget of a whopping 400 to 480 million USD, with 50 to 60 million USD spent per episode. It is certainly one of the most expensive television shows of all time.

A huge budget is required for the grand set designs, which have teleported the audience to the 80s era and upside down. Moreover, the show has a huge cast and is heavily dependent on the VFX.

More about the series:

The final season stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Jamie Bowler, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Amybeth McNulty will also star in the finale. Linda Hamilton has joined the cast as well.

For the unversed, Linda is best known for playing the role of Sarah Connor in the hit ‘Terminator’ franchise. Although it is officially confirmed that Linda Hamilton will feature in ‘Stranger Things Season 5’, details around her role in the show have been kept under wraps.

According to reports by Puck News, all the episodes of ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ will have a runtime of over an hour. It can even extend to 90 to 120 minutes. In an earlier interview, creator Matt Duffer revealed, “We…captured over 650 hours of footage. So…this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.”

However, the audience won’t have to worry about seeing all the lengthy episodes in one go. The series will release in three parts. The first part will include four episodes and will release on November 26. The second part will have three episodes and will release on Netflix on December 25, i.e. on Christmas. Meanwhile, the finale aka the eighth episode or volume three, will release on December 31, i.e. on New Year’s eve.
